Adorned with bracelets, and with a print of a Lichtenstein painting on her shirt, Sarah Guimond performed for the crowd at The Spoken Word Poetry Series in Providence, RI on Tuesday, May 22nd.
Her poetry touched on many themes including tragic love, cautious hope, and human weaknesses. She showed sensitivity with lines such as:...like the night we'll both die in our sleep, and not know each other...; and brought us imagery like, Your skin is silk that's been to the cleaner too many times, and The sun rises in your right eye and sets in your left.
Sarah is a graduate of the Worcester Po8ry Project mentoring workshop.
