Nici was the featured performer at The Spoken Word Poetry Series in Providence, RI last Tuesday.
Nici (pronounced Ni-kee) is the co-winner of this year's Erotic/Neurotic Poetry Contest* at The Spoken Word Poetry Series in Providence, RI.
She combined soft, lyrical description with gritty, brutal honesty and told exactly what she thinks. Her deeply personal performance brought us into her life and showed us many facets of her existence all at once, ranging across love, sex, anger, forgiveness and more.
Nici is very personable, a bit abrasive and abrupt, and is not afraid of language, the world, or you.
*The E/NPC is traditionally held on the Tuesday closest to Valentine's Day each year and allows poets to compete for the privelage of being a featured performer at The Spoken Word Poetry Series in Providence, RI. The contest gives poets an opportunity to explore what the words Erotic and/or Neurotic mean to them.
